Overview of Japanese Association for the Study of Extracurricular Activities

• Established: February 1, 1992
• President: Ichiro Yasui (Dokkyo University)
• Number of members: 596 (as of October 2023)
• Main activities

Students, school teachers, administrative officials, researchers, and the general public who are interested in enriching, developing, encouraging, and popularizing Extracurricular Activities are working together on the following projects:

• Holding conferences, study groups, and public symposiums
• Publication of journals, newsletters, research results, etc.
• Awarding of Society Awards of Excellent Practies of Extracurricular Activities
• Promoting research by members
• Other activities related to the enrichment, development, promotion and dissemination of Extracurricular Activities
